Disclosure Policy

In order to ensure balance, independence, objectivity, and scientific rigor, the editors—as the faculty responsible for content—are expected to disclose to all potential CME activity participants any relationship they may have had with any pharmaceutical company, biomedical device manufacturer/distributor, or other commercial entity that may be construed as a real or apparent conflict of interest with respect to the subject matter presented in this CME activity. The intent of this policy is not to prevent faculty who have such relationships from contributing to the activity, but rather to openly identify such relationships to the participants so they may form their own judgments concerning potential bias. In addition, contributors should identify non-FDA approved use of products whenever possible. However, it remains the responsibility of the participants to identify such products before using them in their practice; the publisher, CME provider, or the contributors cannot be held liable for misuse of any such product.
